Day 16 at Otterbein

Hours: 8 Total Hours: 120

I started out my day checking on the surveys, no new responses. So, I printed out the usability script, having read it off the computer screen yesterday. I also printed out several copies of the citation for the Faculty test, so I could hand it to them, instead of just showing them the script. Then I printed out the next 50 items on the collection development list.

Jane and Allen brought me two more students for usability tests. So, I spent the morning running the tests on my own, typing up my notes and entering their Pre-Surveys into SurveyMonkey.

Jane sent me an Internship Evaluation form and asked me to check it out. I did some proofreading and sent it back. I created a new doc recording the actual steps of getting volunteers for the usability tests, since our Survey got so little student response. I also made a doc to keep track of the tests that had been completed. Then another doc to record contact info for the DC Use giftcard drawing.

I started filling out the Internship Evaluation for my experience, but Jane brought me another student for my testing. I ran student usability test #4 and typed up my notes and entered her survey into the results.

I got a response from one of my original faculty volunteers and set up a time for her test. Then I set up the webpage for my next staff volunteer to answer the Pre-Survey on the computer instead of on paper.  I also copied the audio files of the tests to the computer so I could review them. I worked on my evaluation until my faculty volunteer arrived.

I did my second faculty usability test, typed it up, and then updated the PPT report with all the new responses. Then I headed upstairs to work on the collection development I had printed out in the morning. I ended the day with a meeting with Jane to discuss the week.
